Check the Rubber Seals: Take a look at the rubber rings (O-rings) that sit between the tank and the device. If they’re cracked or worn out, they can cause leaks. Swap out any broken rings with new ones, making sure they fit well and stay in place.
Tighten the Tank: Make sure all the parts of your tank are screwed together snugly but don’t NOT too tight—this might damage the O-rings and make leaking worse.
Altitude: Significant changes in altitude will cause leaking. Driving through mountains or getting on an airplane will cause your device to leak. It is best to have a little vape juice in your device when presented with significant altitude fluctuation.
Look at the Coil: Sometimes leaks happen because the coil isn’t put in 100% correctly, gets too full of e-juice, or is simply too old and needs to be replaced. Take the tank off the device, open it up, and check the coil. If it’s too full, damaged, or worn out, replace it with a new one. Our shop sells over 100 different coils and we stock more than any other vape store in San Antonio!
Adjust Airflow: The airflow settings can help prevent leaks. If the tank is too closed, condensation can build up, making it look like it's leaking when it actually isn't. If it’s open too much, dust can get in, making it harder for the juice to vaporize properly, which can also cause leaks. Play around with the airflow adjuster to find the best setting for you.
Don’t Overfill: Overfilling the tank too much can cause e-juice to spill out. Only fill it to the line, leaving a little space for air. Be careful not to pour juice down the center chimney (the part you inhale from), as this can flood the coil and cause leaking.
Check the Glass: Look for cracks in the glass part of the tank. Sometimes there is a hairline crack that is often not visible to many people. If you find any, the tank will leak. Replace the glass if needed, making sure it’s the correct glass and fits tightly. We sell over 50 types of replacement glass for vape tanks at our shop.
Clean the Tank: Gunk can build up inside the tank over time and cause leaks. Take the tank apart and clean everything with rubbing alcohol, then let it dry completely before putting it back together.
Use Good E-Liquid: Thinner, low-quality e-liquids will leak more than thicker ejuice. Try using a thicker, high-quality e-liquid with the right VG/PG ratio for your device. Thicker liquids usually leak less than thinner ones.
Temperatures: Leaving your vape in a hot car will cause leaks as the liquid gets thinner, and the coil can't keep the juice in the tank.
